Odds and ends of the MaconMacGuy's doings and goings
EducateforRealEstate.com is
up and running. This is a site for potential real estate agents
looking to earn their license, and existing agents who need some
continuing education credits. (3/11/08)
GovAccessMusic.com is under
development - a library site for royalty-free tracks designed
for government access cable channels. (3/1/08)
Podcasting - ever heard of it? I've found a great way to setup a podcast
stringing together several free services - it's simple enough
for a college student to run! Check out the Early
Bird Sports Special Blog/podcast - a "rebroadcast" of a
student radio show on WGUR at GCSU. 2/18/08
New client - KathleenLockhartManning.com -
a site about a relatively unknown American female composer. (2/1/08)
2007
I am in the midst of moving my clients to the hosting I offer through
MidGaHosting.com, or the heavier-duty hosting listed
here. After
this process is completed all of my clients will have world-class
hosting and one-stop hosting & help.
WashburnLand.com is up and running, and the agents have a several dozen
listings already, complete with pictures (check
out the pix of the turkeys in Taylor county. It's a great shot!) This is a database-based
site, and was quite a challenge to get up and running in a short
time-frame. (11/18/07)
New Client: WashburnLand.com,
real estate agents specializing in land deals in middle Georgia.
(10/5/07)
MGIRE.com (Middle Georgia Institue
of Real Estate) has been redesigned. Site features include random
text on each page from former students, updated links to the
online classes, and completely rewritten (and search engine friendly)
text. (10/4/07)
I just completed the GEC site move, and added an upload/download capability
to their site using a cgi script plus some builtin capabilities
of the Apache server their hosting service uses. This should
prove very useful for communication with their clients. (8/27/07)
I am now offering a second hosting
service offering
less expensive hosting, but still with significant capabilities.
For $44/year you can host up to 3 domains (domains do cost $10/yr
if you don't already have one). This is an excellent service
if all you need is a low volume static site.
Geotechnical and Environmental
Consulting has moved their hosting to my service, which will save
them 50% on their annual hosting, plus they have additional
capabilities (spam filtering, blog, etc.) (7/15/07)
Another new client: EducateforRealEstate.com .
There isn't anything much on the site yet, but there will be!
I am now offering hosting, email, and implementation
and training for small businesses who want quality but inexpensive
hosting. There are options for Linux-based or Windows-based,
and even upgrades for e-commerce, maillists, blogs, etc.
You can choose to setup and manage your email accounts
yourself, or I can do it for you! Check out the basic
information
here. Want to place an order? Click
here. I've added a page with some comparison information HERE.
MaconCarpet.biz is a new client. I have implemented email with high-powered
spam filtering, a small static site, and some training for them.
Their previous ISP has treated them badly - and refused to release
their original domain - so we started from scratch. (3/20/07)
The Girl
Scouts of Middle Georgia site, which includes a blog and the ability
for staff to update using Contribute, has been completed. (3/20/07)
2006
The Mercer CS125 class has begun - should be an interesting group of
students. The class blog is here.
(8/25/06)
Recently added samples of my graphic work and some Quicktime experiments
to the portfolio.(8/6/06)
Am currently deep in the final stages of the new website for GEC,
a geotechnical/environmental engineering firm. (8/1/06) The
site is complete - take
a look!(8/15/06)
Just added flash video to the Dale
Washburn for State House site
that has gotten some attention.
